Privacy Policy

This policy explains how YouMe collects, uses, stores, and protects information for private rooms, hosting tools, access codes, WebRTC connection features, Mini event flows, and mini games.

Scope

This policy applies to YouMe, including the Original landing page, private rooms, access-code flow, room game state, embedded mini games, YouMe Hosting dashboard and prompt screen, Mini event signup and messaging, support requests, and related Firebase-hosted pages.

Information we collect

  • Room details such as room codes, host/guest roles, display names, join state, prompts, answers, ratings, notes, drawings, reactions, and session timestamps.
  • Account and access details when a host signs in or redeems access, including email address, authentication state, access-code status, and purchase or discount metadata where applicable.
  • Host-created event data, including session names, prompts, game configuration, invite links, access codes, timestamps, and event state.
  • Mini player data needed to run live events, including display name, verified mobile number, consent choices, masked phone details, session participation, and message delivery status.
  • Connection and technical data such as browser/device type, error logs, page performance, WebRTC signaling metadata, and IP-derived region needed for reliability and security.
  • Support communications, including your email address and any information you include when contacting us.

How we use information

  • Run private rooms, synchronize game state, deliver prompts, support mini-game intermissions, and reconnect players.
  • Create, display, and manage host-led rooms, prompts, event screens, and Mini sessions.
  • Send required transactional game texts, such as signup verification, start, partner switch, and final call notices, to Mini players who consented to session texts.
  • Send promotional texts only when a player separately opts in.
  • Authenticate hosts, manage access codes, prevent abuse, debug issues, and protect service reliability.
  • Respond to support, privacy, legal, and account requests.
  • Improve YouMe by reviewing aggregate reliability and feature-use patterns.

Sharing, storage, and retention

  • We do not sell personal information and do not share it with third-party advertisers.
  • We use service providers to operate YouMe, including Firebase/Google Cloud for hosting, authentication, databases, functions, and logs; Twilio for SMS, verification, and WebRTC network traversal credentials where enabled; and OpenAI only where a feature explicitly uses generated content.
  • Production YouMe data is stored and processed through Firebase/Google Cloud infrastructure, including Cloud Firestore in the North America multi-region and Firebase Realtime Database in the United States.
  • Room records, access records, host event records, and logs are retained while needed to operate the service, support users, comply with legal obligations, and maintain security.
  • Raw Mini attendee phone records are designed to be kept for a limited period after signup; masked, hashed, consent, and delivery audit records may be retained longer for compliance, security, and dispute resolution.
  • Access is limited to authorized YouMe maintainers and service providers who need it to operate, secure, or support YouMe.

Your choices

  • You can leave rooms, stop creating rooms, and avoid sharing optional information in prompts or notes.
  • Hosts can sign out, stop creating sessions, and request deletion or correction of hosting data tied to their account.
  • Mini players can reply STOP to YouMe texts to opt out, START to opt back in, or HELP for support. Standard message and data rates may apply.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information.
  • For privacy requests, email support@playYouMe.com.
